Dirty Dave and I go trolling around Simi and Santa Clarita Valleys for bonuses for the Pace Podcast’s Equinox to Equinox Rally. The weather was a little gloomy, but since it had been about a year since the accident that destroyed my last bike, I really wanted to get out and ride. And since I’m a big fan of the Pace Podcast, I’m glad I was able to get in on it.
I usually ride Dirty’s Sportster but it’s been refusing to start, so it was either his Dyna or the Burgman. “You’ll have more fun on the Burgman.” So Burgie it was. We only had the morning before I had to get back to family time, so we stayed fairly local, starting about 8am. Met the family for lunch, then grabbed a few more bonuses on the way home.
We had a pretty good system down. We’d stop at a bonus, I’d hand the camera to Dirty, he’d snap the pix, and we’d be off to the next one.
What kinda surprised me is how rusty my motorcycle skills have become in the last year of not riding. I was definitely a little wobbly out there.
